Thalia’s career in broadcast journalism began at the BBC in 2000. She became a Newsround presenter in 2003 as the face of CBBC's newly launched weekend bulletins. She then went on to present and produce the programme as part of a team, with output seven days a week, until 2006. In 2005 she was asked to report on the outbreak of Avian Flu in Thailand for the Holiday programme on prime time BBC One. Her work for the renowned travel programme went on to include reports from Kenya, Tanzania and Sicily. She became co-anchor of BBC World’s Fast Track (now the Travel Show) in 2006 and travelled the world for the programme until 2010. Concurrent with her BBC work, Thalia worked in corporate presenting, including being asked to open the World Travel Market at London’s ExCeL for three consecutive years. Most recently, she featured as the nutritionist for Supermarket Secrets Revealed on Channel 5.
